IMPROVING TRANSPORATION ACCESS – Opportunities often bypass the South Coast because it’s hard to get to.

That’s why one of Caddy’s top priorities is to make sure the coast gets its share of transportation funding – keeping us open for business, and making sure we can get to work, school, the store and the doctor.

In 2017, Caddy led the effort to pass a bill that will pay for critical improvements to our state’s transportation infrastructure. Including:

  • $15.3 million per year for ten years to build and maintain roads and bridges in House District 9
  • $11.3 million per year for ten years to improve public transit in House District 9
  • $40 million for the replacement of the Scottsburg Bridge

Access is a big thing for us down here on the South Coast – so we need to fight for our share of state and federal funding for transportation projects.
